2011 TRESOC Share Issue is right on the money

.

In September 2011 we received over £108,000 in investment applications, meeting our target to complete the purchase of the 30 kWp installation at Hatchlands Farm on behalf of the community. However, since then a saga has unfolded: the FIT review, consultation, High Court decision and appeal, plus our solar PV partner SWSP had a change of plans. Fortunately, none of our members' investment is in jeopardy, and we are turning our attention from solar to woodfuel heating, anaerobic digestion, hydro and, most importantly, wind.

We await the announcement of preferential terms for community-owned solar PV in the next FIT review ay the end of March

The new total of 502 members is a 32% increase from the 378-strong membership resulting from the previous share issue back in 2010.
New applicants total 117, 63 existing members applied to increase their shareholdings, 11 applications were made for investment in trust for children or grandchildren, and there are 3 new corporate applicants, which brings the total of corporate membership to 9 local businesses. Delighted with our increased membership, Ian Bright, TRESOC Managing Director commented, “Everyone in TRESOC is aware of the faith and trust placed in us by the local community and we are strongly focused on delivering a healthy annual return on our members’ investments in renewable energy.”
