TRESOC is busy, and we need someone to help part-time with administration. We are able to pay a modest hourly rate to the right person and we are offering the opportunity, first, to TRESOC members.

We are looking for someone who is able to work from home as a self-employed person, using their own computer. You will be working directly with the TRESOC Board members and with Sarah on the TRESOC phone line. At times, you will be dealing with commercially sensitive information which must be treated in confidence.

The hours are part time and irregular and can be arranged to suit your circumstances. Sometimes you’ll be dealing with occasional mail and enquiries and sometimes, e.g. for our next share issue, you’ll be very busy! Experience of book keeping is essential and knowledge of Adobe Contribute or Dreamweaver web management systems would be a distinct advantage.

Currently we are able to offer pay at £9.00/hr, negotiable for a person with the right qualifications, and with prospects for the future as TRESOC develops into a successful enterprise, delivering renewable energy for the benefit of the local community.

Caroline Lucas, Green party MP for Brighton Pavilion, visited Totnes on 24th February. After a morning of planned events, Caroline joined community campaigners, Green Party representatives and the press for tea at the Seven Stars Hotel. Before her short presentation, Caroline chatted with Ian Bright, TRESOC’s Managing Director, about the importance of focusing on renewable energy.

Caroline Lucas said: "At a time when the Government is making savage cuts to public spending, investment in job creation is more crucial than ever. A properly managed transition to a low carbon economy would create hundreds of thousands of new green jobs – and the renewable energy sector has a huge role to play in this.  TRESOC is helping the Totnes community lead the way in this regard."

TRESOC is open to working with all political parties to to create growth and stability in the local economy by realizing a commercially viable portfolio of cutting edge wind, solar, hydro and biomass projects.
