2011 SHARE ISSUE LAUNCH PARTY & INFO EVENING
SUNDAY 4TH SEPT
6-8pm at Totnes Rowing Club, Steamer Quay
Bring your friends and family to "Share Energy” TRESOC’s Launch Party & Information Evening, Sunday 4th September, from 6-8pm, at the Dart Totnes Amateur Rowing Club, Steamer Quay Road, Totnes, TQ9 5AL. All interested residents – individuals and businesses – of Totnes and the 15 surrounding parishes are welcome. The board will give a brief overview and will then be available to answer questions in a casual atmosphere. Music by Appel Direct, kids welcome, free parking, free entry.
Any resident of Totnes and Environs can become a TRESOC member by the purchase of Shares (minimum holding £20), and existing members may increase their shareholdings up to the permitted maximum of £32,000. The Share Issue runs for 2 weeks from 9am Monday 5th September until 5pm on Monday 19th September.
This will be an opportunity to have any questions you may have answered by the TRESOC team, and perhaps take a dedicated moment or two to read through the prospectus before submitting your application form.
Please bring interested friends. We are looking to increase our membership in order to give more people in our community the opportunity to benefit and to raise investment for our community scale solar projects.

Position
Available |
TRESOC needs someone to help part-time with book keeping. We are able to pay a modest hourly rate to the right person and, in line with our recruitment policy; we are offering the opportunity, first, to TRESOC members.
We are looking for someone who is able to work as a self-employed person, using their own computer from home. You will be working directly with the TRESOC Board members and with MandyBurton, our Admin Manager.
The hours are part time and irregular and can be arranged to suit your circumstances. You’ll be implementing a new book keeping system and recording and dealing with day to day financial transactions. The workload will be light to start with, building as business activity increases. Book keeping skills and experience required, ability to work in Excel essential.
Currently we are able to offer pay at £9.00/hr, negotiable for a person with the right qualifications, and with prospects for the future as TRESOC develops into a successful enterprise, delivering renewable energy for the benefit of the local community.
We need to fill this position quickly so, if you are interested, please respond by Monday 5th September. We may have to advertise more widely if we do not have suitable candidates from our membership by that date.
Please reply with a brief CV to info@tresoc.co.uk or phone TRESOC on 01803 867431 for further information.

Volunteers
Needed |
This past Saturday we had a table at the market near Harlequin Books. Most of the passers-by were visitors, but we had many engaging conversations with
• potential new members
• existing members who didn’t realize the significance of a new share issue
• people with skills to offer to TRESOC, such as a career in engineering
We would welcome volunteers to help us on future weekends: 2nd/3rd, 9th/10th, 16th/17th Sept. Please get in touch.

Energyshare
Update |
TRESOC made it through to the next round, so that’s one step closer to extra funding! We were one of 100 groups chosen. Now, we’re looking carefully at the small print, with a view to getting stuck in to the application after the Share Issue in mid-September.

SWISH
Update |
We have only 12 SWISH t-shirts left at £10 each – some pink, some natural – which we’ll bring to our next SWISH meeting. Probably the next opportunity to meet will be at the Open Day hosted by Infinergy and their noise expert… if you want to attend wearing a SWISH tshirt, get in touch and we’ll send you one.

DID YOU KNOW?
The UK is the windiest country in Europe, so much so that we could power our country several times over using this free fuel.
